Inpatient Service
General Psychiatry Unit (GPU) and Acute Care Unit (ACU)
  • individualized, short-term, client-centred assessment and treatment for adults with mental health and substance use issues
  • acute inpatient treatment setting for adults who require a high level of assessment, nursing observation and intensive treatment
  • multidisciplinary discharge planning to ensure appropriate, client-centred follow-up
Ambulatory Services
General psychiatric and crisis assessment consultation for adults with mental health and substance use issues
  • links to other appropriate resources
  • brief treatment (three-month model)
  • short-term support and stabilization for clients discharged from the CATS Inpatient Services who are awaiting acceptance to internal and/or external specialty programs
Psychiatric Outreach Program
Clinical mental health services, education and support to communities throughout Ontario, with emphasis on areas that are rural, remote, or under-serviced
